FreedomWorks for America Statement in Response to Rep. Cheney’s Decision Not to Seek Wyoming Senate Seat

January 16, 2020

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In response to Rep. Liz Cheney’s (R-Wy.) announcement today that she would not enter the Wyoming Senate race for retiring Sen. Mike Enzi’s (R-Wy.) seat, Adam Brandon, FreedomWorks for America President, commented:

“We are glad to learn that Rep. Cheney is remaining in the House to help small government conservatives regain their majority. This decision solidifies former Rep. Cynthia Lummis (R-Wy.), whom FreedomWorks for America has recently endorsed, as the frontrunner in the Wyoming Senate race. Lummis was a founding member of the House Freedom Caucus, and our activist community looks forward to supporting her bid to represent the Cowboy State in the U.S. Senate this November.”
